1. Who we are
Word Drop: Puzzle Game ("Word Drop", "the game") is developed and published by BVDG Tech ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Word Drop you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
We do not sell your personal information.
2. What we collect
You can play without an account
Word Drop works without signing in. In that case your progress is stored on your device, and we only receive the device and usage information described below.
If you sign in with Google or Apple
- An account identifier from Firebase Authentication.
- The name, email address and profile photo URL that Google or Apple share with us. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email; we then receive a private relay address.
- Your game save: level, coins, hints, shuffles, unlocked themes, tile styles, avatar, frame, badges, season progress and settings, so you can restore it on another device.
- Your leaderboard entry: nickname, chosen avatar and frame, and level.
Collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system and version, language, country or region, app version.
- Identifiers: Firebase installation ID, the advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking, Google Advertising ID on Android), and the vendor identifier (IDFV) or Android ID.
- Gameplay and usage: levels started and completed, use of hints and tools, screens viewed, ads shown, and purchase events.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data.
- IP address, which our providers use to estimate your general location for ads, fraud prevention and security.
Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card or bank details. We receive a purchase confirmation (product, transaction ID, date) so we can deliver coins, remove ads or activate Premium.
If you played the earlier version
Word Drop replaces an earlier version of the game published under the same app listing. The first time you open the new version, it reads the old save on your device to carry over your level, coins and ad-free status. If no local save is found, it looks up a backup saved by the old version under your device identifier. This happens once.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

4. Third-party services
We use the following providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config): sign-in, cloud save, leaderboard, usage statistics, crash reports and remote settings. Firebase privacy
- Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform: ads and consent management. How Google uses data from partner apps
- Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple: optional sign-in. Google Privacy Policy · Apple Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store and Google Play: purchases, subscriptions and in-app reviews.
- Unity: the game engine and Unity In-App Purchasing. Unity Privacy Policy
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our players or ourselves, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
5. Ads and your choices
- iOS tracking: on iPhone and iPad we ask for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", we do not access your IDFA and you will see non-personalized or contextual ads. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: where required, we ask for your consent through Google's consent message before showing personalized ads.
- No ads: buying Remove Ads or subscribing to Premium turns off banner and full-screen ads. Rewarded ads that you choose to watch for extra coins or hints remain available.
6. What other players see
If you are signed in, your nickname, avatar, frame and level appear on the global leaderboard. Please do not use your real full name or other personal details as your nickname. Your email address is never shown to other players.
7. Retention and deletion
- Your cloud save, account and leaderboard entry are kept while your account is active.
- Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months; crash reports for up to 90 days.
- Purchase records may be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
Delete your account from the game: open Settings (the gear on the Home screen) and tap Account Deletion. This removes your account, your cloud save and your leaderboard entry, and resets progress on the device. You can also email us from the address you signed in with, and we will delete your data within 30 days. See how to delete your account.
Uninstalling the app removes data stored only on your device.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, California law (CCPA/CPRA) and Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for exercising them. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell personal information. Sharing advertising identifiers with ad partners may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out using the device settings in section 5.
9. Children
Word Drop is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security and international transfers
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with Google Cloud and Firebase, which apply industry-standard security. Access to player data is limited by access rules so that each player can only read and write their own save. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or the law changes. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the game.
